My name is Jacob. I’m the director of User Acquisition here at FunPlus.

 

WHY DO YOU DO YOUR JOB?

I do my job because no two days are the same and there’s always a lot of variety. You know, I work with a lot of different people and departments with numbers and with creative things, so it’s a lot of variety. 

 

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR JOB?

My job as the director of user acquisition, I’m in charge of bringing users to our amazing games and through digital marketing campaigns.

 

HOW DO YOU SEE UA EVOLVING?

I see UA evolving as much more of an integrated marketing approach, away from traditional just UA as such, into much more, you know, a holistic view of marketing and working much closer with product and other disciplines of marketing. 

 

FUNPLUS IS UNIQUE BECAUSE?

FunPlus is unique because of the combination of fantastic people and great games that are very unique. 

 

WHAT KIND OF GAMES DO YOU LIKE TO PLAY?

I play all kinds of games. Right now I play mostly RPG games, but I’m also into casual games, especially on my phone. i play match three games and RPG strategy games, all kinds of different games, mostly on mobile nowadays, but also a little bit on PC still. Old school. 

 

BARCELONA IS UNIQUE BECAUSE?

Barcelona for me, I’ve been here for ten years. I’ve seen it grow massively to become that hub in the Spanish gaming industry. Now there are lots of different gaming studios present here, and I would even go further and say it’s not just a hub for the Spanish gaming industry, but for the whole European and maybe even global industry already. 

 

AND LAST BUT DEFINITELY NOT LEAST… FUN TO YOU MEANS?

Fun to me means spending time with awesome people such as family, friends or colleagues.
