About GameBCN
Established in 2014 by Simón Lee, the former design director of Digital Legends, and supported by the Government of Catalonia and the Barcelona City Council, GameBCN is a publicly and privately funded program, offering teams participating in its yearly program 100% free access.
As stated on the GameBCN website, GameBCN’s mission is to empower and support small teams in the video game industry from their roots by fostering connections between public administration, universities, and successful global companies.
It aims to be a nurturing home where teams can find the support, confidence, and conducive ecosystem necessary to grow and thrive.
The core values of GameBCN, including passion, trust, community, innovation, collaboration, and support, are deeply ingrained in every aspect of its operation.
This global incubation program in Barcelona is dedicated to professionalizing the production pipeline and maximizing business opportunities for video game studios, with a strong focus on talent growth, business development, production training, and networking events.
Notably, GameBCN boasts a remarkable publisher agreement ratio of over 50%, underscoring the program’s effectiveness.
