Aniimo confirms September 16 Console/PC release date at Gamescom Opening Night Live

The Free-to-Play Creature-Catching RPG Also Launches on Mobile on September 23

Pawprint Studio confirmed that creature-catching open-world RPG Aniimo is slated to launch September 16 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, as revealed in a new trailer debuted during Gamescom Opening Night Live.

Aniimo will also launch for mobile on the App Store and Google Play on September 23.

PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S users can now pre-order two bonus packs for Aniimo: the Aniimo Pre-Order Pack: Advanced Edition and the Aniimo Pre-Order Pack: Collector’s Edition. These packs include in-game rewards like the platform-exclusive Fluffy Friend accessory, an in-game battle pass, and more. 

With the global launch, players can expect plenty of features and content to discover in the world of Idyll, including:

• Discovering the Aniimo: As Pathfinders, players will discover the magical creatures who inhabit the continent of Idyll. With more than 200 different Aniimo already available at launch, players can seek, capture, battle, upgrade, develop, research, and evolve their chosen Aniimo as they progress through the game. Different forms of Aniimo are waiting to be discovered depending on systems such as the weather and different biomes.

• Twining: The merging of players and their Aniimo, known as Twining, whereby players will unlock more abilities, different perspectives, and new unique ways to play. 
  • Pathfinders that twine with their Aniimo can battle, move, and explore the world of Idyll through the unique lens of the Aniimo they have twined with.
  • Players who twine can immerse themselves in the Aniimo society – experiencing everyday exchanges and habits that the Aniimo have developed amongst themselves.

• Regions, Environments, & Ecology: Multiple areas and ecosystems can be explored, each with their own interconnected Aniimo behaviors. These include Driftwise Meadow with its emotion-based ecology, the fiery Sandcastle Hill, flourishing Rosetower Wood, and many more.
• PvP and Co-Op Gameplay: PvP modes like Diamond Egg Heist will pit teams against one another, while Co-Op features include the Horn to call for help from friends and strangers in the open world, the Flute to invite others to a location or discover players nearby, and the Come to Me ability, which instantly calls one’s allies.
• Homeland: In the Homeland system, players can farm and harvest with their Aniimo, decorate their home to their preferences, and treat Aniimo to fun fairground rides whilst simultaneously working together to achieve their goals. Facilities are powered by Aniimo and can be accessed from the RV Campsite.
