Review first half 2025

Can you summarize the key achievements for FunPlus during the first half of 2025?

“We celebrated a huge milestone for the company with our 15-year anniversary. It is extremely rare for companies in the video game industry to last this long, and the fact that we have done it across multiple platforms and multiple genres is a testament to the resilience and entrepreneurial spirit of our company.

It is also very satisfying to see our first licensed IP games coming to market this year – first with DC: Dark Legion and soon with Foundation: Galactic Frontier

Finally, it is extremely inspiring to see that we continue to make investments behind our vision of becoming a leading interactive entertainment company driven by IP development with the recent announcement of Aniimo as well as all the great work being done at our Barcelona and Lisbon offices, whether its creating transmedia content for our existing franchises (Sea of Conquest comic series, Foundation: Galactic Frontier Podcast series, etc.) or working on a new IP universe.”

How did the company evolve over the past 6 months in response to market trends and consumer behaviors?

“We have been evolving the company not only for the past 6 months but for more than the last 18 months, whether it’s executing organizational changes to create a leaner and efficient operation or changing the way that we fund and greenlight new game projects through the forced constraints of lower initial budgets than in the past.

We also continue to invest not only in mobile but also in expanding our reach to console and PC platforms as we try to reach a larger audience.”

Looking forward to the second half of the year:

We want spoilers! Is there anything you can share with us?

Be on the lookout for new exciting IP collaborations in one of our flagship games, State of Survival, more new game launches between now and the end of the year, as well as continued updates on Aniimo and our secret new IP project currently being worked on in Lisbon by the Studio Ellipsis team.”

And the last question! In 1 word, how is the year 2025 so far?

“(Still a) rollercoaster!”
