Ilya Mozzhukhin -Animation Director at Studio Ellipsis

Welcome, Ilya. It’s a pleasure to have you with us. Thank you so much for joining us today. Could you kick things off by introducing yourself and your role at FunPlus?

Hello. My name is Ilya Mozzhukhin, and I’m Animation Director of the Ellipsis Studio.

Great! And what do you do as an Animation Director?

As an animation director, I’m responsible for developing the animation pipeline. Even though my biggest love in my job is doing the animation itself hands-on. I also love collaborating with other departments and leading my own team.

Tell us, why do you do your job?

I do my job not only because I love the process and I love the result, but I also feel and love that responsibility to the players. The players like me. 20 years ago.

Creating Worlds, what does it mean to you?

Creating worlds is actually creating the characters. The player will not only remember the look and feel of the project, but he will also remember the characters. He will remember their stories, and he will remember their relationships.

Amazing! And now, what can you tell us about Studio Ellipsis? What’s its core?

The main core of the Ellipsis Studio for me is. This theme is one of those small teams of Jedis who are very hands-on, who are capable of delivering great things, and who are small. We can iterate fast. We try new things, and we are going to deliver a really unique experience.
